SHEP at a glance

01

Set up for the job

Stokes secondary development configures SHEP for the industry and task it will handle.

02

Sees in 3D

An ultra-wide-angle 3D LiDAR and an HD camera support obstacle avoidance on the Air, Pro, X, and EDU.

03

Built for classrooms

Pairs with our STEMBOTICS curriculum license, from a team writing robotics curriculum since 2013.

04

Ready for public safety

ENT, ENT Plus, and ENT MTPTZ add a screen remote and dual communication links, with thermal imaging on ENT MTPTZ.

A working robot dog, set up for your job before it ships

SHEP starts with the Unitree Go2 and adds Stokes Robotics secondary development on top. The result is a compact quadruped robot that arrives set up for the industry and task it will handle.

Unitree sells the Go2 in several configurations. The Air and Pro run the manufacturer’s built-in functions. The X and EDU support secondary development, and the ENT versions add equipment for industry and public safety work. SHEP is offered on all 11.

Built for three kinds of programs

K-12 and CTE classrooms

Students program a walking robot and watch their code move it over real terrain.

Corrections and public safety

A remote-operated robot with live video, and on ENT Plus, a searchlight and voice broadcast.

Industrial inspection

Thermal imaging and gas sensing options for equipment and site inspection work.

SHEP FAQ

What is the difference between SHEP and the Unitree Go2?

SHEP is built on the same Go2 configurations and includes Stokes Robotics secondary development, set up for the way you will use it. The Unitree Go2 is sold without Stokes development.

What does Stokes development add?

Stokes secondary development elevates the robot for a specific industry and job. Depending on how you will use SHEP, it can include curriculum, training, and development that enhances what the robot can do. Tell us where the robot will work and we will match the development to it.

Can law enforcement and corrections agencies use SHEP?

Yes. SHEP is available on the Go2 ENT configurations built for industry and public safety work. ENT Plus adds a 30 W searchlight, red and blue warning lights, and voice broadcast, and ENT MTPTZ adds a thermal imaging gimbal. Stokes Robotics law enforcement packages are non-lethal only.

How long does SHEP run on one battery?

Unitree lists 1 to 2 hours on the standard 8000 mAh battery and 2 to 4 hours on the 15000 mAh long-life battery. EDU comes with the long-life battery, and the Air and Pro include the required upgrade to a long-life battery plus one extra.

Do I have to buy the curriculum or training?

No. The STEMBOTICS curriculum license, onsite setup and training, and online training are optional add-ons. Choose the ones you want at checkout or in your quote request.

Can I buy SHEP online?

Yes. Choose your configuration, add-ons, and quantity, then check out online. If your school, agency, or company needs a purchase order or a formal quote, request a quote and our sales team will build it with you.
