Terms of Use

Updated & Effective Date: October 15, 2026

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of stokesrobotics.com (the “Site”), including orders placed through the Site’s online store.

Stokes Robotics (“Stokes Robotics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a registered fictitious name, commonly called a DBA, of Stokes Educational Services, LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. Stokes Robotics is not a separate legal entity. References in these Terms to Stokes Robotics mean Stokes Educational Services, LLC operating under that name.

These Terms cover the website and online store orders. If you buy under a signed contract or written quote terms, or engage us for secondary development, integration, training, or support, that relationship is governed by the separate written agreement or quote terms between you and us. Those terms control where they conflict with these Terms. Nothing on the Site is a quote, a warranty, or a commitment to supply anything until we accept your order or sign a written agreement with you.

By accessing the Site, submitting a form on it, or placing an order through it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Scope of these terms

These Terms apply to anyone who visits the Site, reads its content, submits an inquiry through it, or places an order through its online store.

Section 6 covers orders placed through the online store. Purchases made under a signed contract or written quote terms, and any development, integration, training, or support work we perform, are governed by that separate written agreement. Purchase orders are covered in Section 6. If a separate agreement conflicts with these Terms, that agreement controls with respect to the subject it covers.

Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Updated & effective date” above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice such as a Site notice. Changes apply prospectively and do not affect orders we accepted before the change. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We may also change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, including products offered through the online store, at any time without notice.

3. Eligibility and acceptable use

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Site or place an order on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms. The Site is intended primarily for business, agency, school, and institutional buyers.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or use automated means to extract data from the Site, except by well-behaved search engine crawlers obeying our robots directives;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any related systems, or probe or test their vulnerability;
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access;
  • Interfere with or place undue load on the Site’s infrastructure;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Site;
  • Use the Site or its content to build, train, or improve a competing product, service, or machine learning model;
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Use a payment method you are not authorized to use;
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form or checkout on the Site.

4. Intellectual property

The Site and its contents, including text, graphics, logos, images, photography, video, page layouts, code, and the selection and arrangement of all of it, are owned by or licensed to Stokes Educational Services, LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Our marks. “Stokes Robotics,” our logos, and the names of our packages and systems are trademarks and service marks of Stokes Educational Services, LLC, whether or not registered. Registration of a fictitious name is a business filing and is separate from any trademark right. CORAS® is a registered trademark of Stokes Educational Services, LLC dba Stokes Robotics. You may not use any of these marks, or a confusingly similar mark, without our prior written permission, except for nominative fair use that does not suggest we sponsor or endorse you.

Third-party marks. Stokes Robotics is a Gold level distributor for Unitree. Unitree, AgileX, and other manufacturer names, product and model names, and logos appearing on the Site are the property of their respective owners. We use them to identify the products we sell and build on. Their appearance does not, by itself, mean that their owners sponsor or endorse Stokes Robotics, and it does not transfer any right in those marks to you.

Your license. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Site for your own internal business, agency, school, or institutional use, including evaluation, procurement, and budgeting. You may share links to our content, and you may reproduce product pages and specification documents as reasonably necessary for an internal procurement or budget process. You may not otherwise reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any portion of the Site without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

5. Inquiries, submissions, and feedback

When you submit information through a form on the Site, you represent that the information is accurate and that you have the right to provide it. Submitting an inquiry or quote request does not create a contract, an order, or an obligation for either of us. Submitting a job or internship application does not create an offer or contract of employment.

Do not submit sensitive site or security information through this website. Our forms are not a secure channel. Do not submit facility layouts, security procedures, staffing schedules, inmate or student records, or any information whose disclosure could compromise the safety or security of a site.

Feedback. If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the Site or our business, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential unless we have a written confidentiality agreement in place.

Testimonials and public contributions. If you provide a testimonial, quote, or review, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute it in connection with our business. You are responsible for confirming that your organization permits you to provide it. We may remove any submission at our discretion.

6. Orders through our online store

Order acceptance. Placing an order is an offer to buy the products in your cart. The confirmation email you receive after checkout confirms that we received your order; it does not mean we accepted it. We accept your order when we ship it. We may decline or cancel any order, in whole or in part, including for errors in price, description, or availability, suspected fraud, or legal or export restrictions. If we cancel an order after charging you, we will refund the amount charged.

Prices and availability. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change at any time before we accept your order. “Starting at” prices reflect a base configuration. Your price depends on the configuration, add-ons, and quantity you select, plus shipping and applicable taxes. If a product is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel the order or contact you before shipping it. Availability is not guaranteed, and lead times vary by product.

Payment. Card and other online payments are processed by our third-party payment processors. By placing an order, you authorize us and our processors to charge your selected payment method for the order total. You represent that you are authorized to use that payment method. We also accept purchase orders from schools, government agencies, and other organizations. A purchase order is subject to our approval, and payment is due according to the terms on our invoice. Unless we sign a separate written agreement for the purchase, these Terms apply, and terms printed on a purchase order that add to or conflict with these Terms do not apply unless we agree to them in writing.

Sales tax and exemptions. We collect sales tax where required. If your organization is exempt, you must provide a valid exemption certificate at or before checkout. You are responsible for the accuracy of the exemption information you provide, and for any tax, interest, or penalty that results if an exemption is denied.

Shipping, title, and risk of loss. Shipping methods, charges, and delivery estimates are shown at checkout or in your order confirmation. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the order is delivered to you.

Returns and refunds. Returns, cancellations, and refunds are handled under the return and refund terms posted on the Site or provided with your order.

Product warranties. Products are covered only by the warranty, if any, stated in the product’s documentation, the manufacturer’s warranty, or the written agreement for your purchase. Warranty service for manufacturer components may be provided by or through the manufacturer. Except for those warranties, and to the extent permitted by law, products are sold without other express or implied warranties.

Safe and lawful use. Robots are machines with moving parts, motors, and batteries. You agree to operate them according to the manufacturer’s documentation and any training we provide, and to follow all laws, regulations, and policies that apply to how you use them, including laws on privacy, audio and video recording, and workplace safety. You are responsible for how you configure, modify, and operate products after delivery.

Export controls. Products, software, and technical information we provide may be subject to U.S. export control and sanctions laws. You agree not to export, re-export, or transfer them in violation of those laws, and you represent that you are not a person or entity barred from receiving them.

7. Site content is general information

Everything on the Site is published for general informational purposes. It is not professional, legal, engineering, safety, or procurement advice, and it is not a quote or a warranty.

Base robot specifications are the manufacturer’s. Runtime, payload, range, speed, environmental ratings, certification status, and every other performance figure published on the Site for a base robot is supplied by the manufacturer of that robot. Those are the manufacturer’s measurements, not ours. We publish them in good faith and we do not independently verify or warrant them. Specifications, features, availability, and certification status may change at the manufacturer’s discretion without notice to us or to you.

Package descriptions. Descriptions of Stokes Robotics packages describe the secondary development, training, and add-ons included at the time of publication. Package contents and capabilities may change. The contents of your package are those stated in your order confirmation or written agreement.

No outcome is promised. Nothing on the Site should be read as a promise that a robot or package will prevent or reduce any incident, protect any person, improve safety, achieve any level of availability or throughput, or produce any labor, cost, educational, or operational result. Any example, case study, or figure we publish is illustrative and does not predict a result at your site.

We try to keep the Site accurate and current, but typographical errors, outdated figures, and omissions can occur. We may correct any part of the Site at any time. Do not rely on the Site as the sole basis for a purchasing, budgeting, operational, or safety decision.

The Site links to third-party websites, documentation, apps, and platforms that we do not control, including manufacturer documentation and software. We provide those links for convenience. We do not endorse those sites, we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or data practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

This section applies to the Site and its content. Warranties for products you buy are addressed in Section 6.

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties for the Site, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that defects will be corrected; that the Site is free of viruses or harmful components; or that any information on the Site is accurate, complete, current, or reliable.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Stokes Educational Services, LLC, Stokes Robotics, nor our members, officers, employees, contractors, or agents will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data, arising out of or relating to the Site, these Terms, or any order placed through the Site, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100), except that for claims arising from an order placed through the Site, our liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the product that gave rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited as a matter of law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Any claim arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms must be brought within one (1) year after the claim arises, or it is permanently barred, except where a longer period is required by law.

Liability arising from purchases or work under a separate written agreement is addressed in that agreement.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Stokes Educational Services, LLC, Stokes Robotics, and our members, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, information you submit through the Site, or your use of products in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Nothing in this section requires a public entity to indemnify us beyond what its governing law permits.

12. Suspension of access

We may refuse service, block access, and remove content at our discretion, with or without notice, particularly for conduct that violates these Terms. Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 15 survive any termination of your access.

13. Governing law and disputes

Informal resolution first. This is a required step. Before either of us files a lawsuit, the party with a concern must send the other a written notice describing the dispute and the relief sought. Send notices to us at info@stokesrobotics.com with “Legal Notice” in the subject line. For thirty (30) days after that notice, both parties agree to negotiate in good faith. Neither party may file suit during that period. This does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, or from bringing a claim in small claims court. The thirty-day period tolls any applicable deadline, including the one-year limit in Section 10.

Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Venue. Any lawsuit must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Jasper County, Missouri, or, for any claim within the jurisdiction of the federal courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Both parties consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

Jury trial waiver and no class actions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, both parties waive any right to a trial by jury, and agree that any claim will be brought in an individual capacity rather than as part of a class, collective, or representative proceeding.

Public entities. If you are a government agency, school district, or other public body, this section applies only to the extent your governing law permits.

Consumers. If you buy as an individual for personal use, nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by agreement.

14. Electronic communications

By using the Site, placing an order, or providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. Electronic communications, including email, text messages, and notices posted on the Site, satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing.

If you provide a telephone number and opt in, you may receive calls and text messages from us as described in our Privacy Policy. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, you can reply STOP to opt out of texts and HELP for help, and consent is not a condition of purchasing anything from us.

15. General provisions

Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, any shipping or return terms posted on the Site, and any order confirmation we send you constitute the entire agreement between us regarding your use of the Site and orders placed through it, and supersede all prior discussions and representations on those subjects.

Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed, and the remaining provisions remain in full force.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. Waivers must be in writing.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between us.

Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

Notices. Legal notices to us must be sent to info@stokesrobotics.com and to Stokes Robotics, 800 E Pennell St., Suite B, Carl Junction, MO 64834.
