GiGi FAQ

What is the difference between GiGi and the Unitree G1?

GiGi is built on the G1 EDU and includes Stokes Robotics secondary development, set up for the way you will use it. The Unitree G1 is sold without Stokes development, as the Basic version or as a G1 EDU configuration. Unitree states the Basic version does not support secondary development.

Can GiGi be programmed?

Yes. Every GiGi configuration is built on the G1 EDU, which supports ROS, SDKs, and APIs for secondary development. Your team can run the setup we deliver or build on it with its own code.

How long does GiGi run on one battery?

Unitree lists about 2 hours of runtime from the 9000 mAh battery. The battery is quick-release, so a spare keeps GiGi running through longer sessions.

Is GiGi safe to use around people?

GiGi should always run with a trained operator in charge and a clear area around it. Unitree advises keeping a safe distance between its humanoid robots and people during operation. We offer operator training before and after the sale.

Does Stokes Robotics offer setup and training for GiGi?

Yes. We offer onsite setup and training for the people who will run GiGi, before and after the sale. It is an optional add-on you can choose at checkout or in your quote request.

Can I buy GiGi online?

Yes. Choose your configuration, add-ons, and quantity, then check out online. If your school, agency, or company needs a purchase order or a formal quote, request a quote and our sales team will build it with you.
