Rise at a glance

01

Built for classrooms

Pairs with our STEMBOTICS curriculum license, from a team writing robotics curriculum since 2013.

02

Programmable

Every Rise configuration supports high-level and low-level development, with simulation interfaces.

03

Light and compact

About 25 kg and 1210 mm tall, the lightest humanoid in our lineup.

04

Hand options

EDU Pro versions add Dex3-1, Dex5-1, or BrainCo Revo 2 dexterous hands.

A humanoid built for the classroom

Rise starts with the Unitree R1 EDU and adds Stokes Robotics secondary development on top. The result is a compact, 25 kg humanoid robot set up for education programs, with the freedom for students to write their own code.

Unitree sells the R1 as a Basic version, which is not programmable, and in several EDU configurations that support high-level and low-level development. Rise is offered on all six EDU configurations.

Built for three kinds of programs

K-12 and CTE classrooms

Students write code and watch it turn into movement on a robot built like a person.

Colleges and universities

A programmable humanoid for robotics, AI, and simulation coursework.

Events and demonstrations

A compact humanoid that moves easily between classrooms and events.

Rise FAQ

What is the difference between Rise and the Unitree R1?

Rise is built on the R1 EDU and includes Stokes Robotics secondary development, set up for education programs. The Unitree R1 is sold without Stokes development, as the Basic version or as an R1 EDU configuration. The R1 Basic is not programmable.

Can Rise be programmed?

Yes. Every Rise configuration is built on the R1 EDU, which supports high-level and low-level development with robot models and simulation interfaces for environments such as Isaac Sim.

How long does Rise run on one battery?

About 1 hour from the 6000 mAh quick-release battery. A spare battery keeps Rise running through longer class periods.

Is Rise safe to use around students?

Rise should always run with a trained operator in charge and a clear area around it. We offer operator training before and after the sale.

Do I have to buy the curriculum or training?

No. The STEMBOTICS curriculum license, onsite setup and training, and online training are optional add-ons. Choose the ones you want at checkout or in your quote request.

Can I buy Rise online?

Yes. Choose your configuration, add-ons, and quantity, then check out online. If your school, agency, or company needs a purchase order or a formal quote, request a quote and our sales team will build it with you.
