Unitree G1 FAQ

What is the difference between the Unitree G1 and GiGi?

GiGi is built on the G1 EDU and includes Stokes Robotics secondary development, set up for the way you will use it. The Unitree G1 is sold without Stokes development, as the Basic version or as a G1 EDU configuration.

Can the G1 be programmed?

The G1 EDU can. Every EDU configuration includes a 100 TOPS computing unit and supports high-level and low-level secondary development. According to Unitree, the Basic version does not support secondary development.

What is the difference between EDU Standard and EDU Plus?

EDU Plus upgrades the waist from 1 to 3 degrees of freedom and each arm from 5 to 7, for up to 29 degrees of freedom before hands. Both can be ordered with dexterous hands.

How long does the G1 run on one battery?

Unitree lists about 2 hours of runtime from the 9000 mAh quick-release battery. A spare battery keeps the G1 running through longer sessions.

Do I have to buy the curriculum or training?

No. The STEMBOTICS curriculum license and onsite setup and training are optional add-ons. Choose the ones you want at checkout or in your quote request.

Can I buy the Unitree G1 online?

Yes. Choose your configuration, add-ons, and quantity, then check out online. If your school, agency, or company needs a purchase order or a formal quote, request a quote and our sales team will build it with you.
